Beethoven at Home

This program features a unique collaboration between Max Tan and pianist Ying Li to promote arrangements of Beethoven’s symphonic works for violin and piano at home. Arrangements of large orchestral works for smaller ensembles was a profitable and common practice in the late nineteenth century. The program was first presented on Groupmuse with Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture and Fifth Symphony.
